Inbee Park Wins US Women’s Open
Okay, so she isn’t the hottest one on the course, but she’s kind of cute in a pudgy South Korean kind of way, right? Inbee Park (sounds like “In The Park”) capped off a rather impressive win Sunday, made all the more stunning by her young age (19) and the fact that she just started playing golf ten years ago.
The old story with her goes that she sat down to watch the US Open with her father ten years ago, and saw Se Ri Pak become the first South Korean and the youngest winner of the U.S. Women’s Open - ever. At that moment, she decided that she wanted to play golf, and picked up a club the next day (metaphorically, I hear it was actually two days later in actuality).
But, I want to hit on another topic in regards to the US Women’s Open this year. The nookie.
Pardon me for being crude, but I’m going to go ahead and put on my “guy hat” for a moment, scratch my balls, spit and talk about chicks.
Ho-ly crap women’s golf has come a long way. I’ll admit, I predominantly watch the men’s PGA Tour. Every once and a while - if its on - I’ll check out a hole here or a hole there, and flip to another station. I haven’t watched an entire tournament on the women’s tour for a few years.
Apparently, in those few years they have been actively recruiting young, blond, tan, hot women to play the sport. I mean, sweet lord. Hole after hole through this tournament, I was treated to a visual delight, from Paula Creamer all the way down to Natalie Gulbis. It was so bad (or good) that I was having a hard time (no pun intended) paying attention to who was winning.
So, congratulations to Inbee Park - but honestly I think the real winners here are us (the men). Now, we are able to watch women’s golf and no longer see a field full of butch lesbians, but instead one full of mind numbing hottness.
Thank you Jesus.
