Mike Hampton is Still Alive?

Submitted by Erickson on Thursday, 17 July 2008No Comment

I was reading the news wires today and came across an article that peaked my interest. It was titled, “Hampton tweaks groin in rehab start.” After seeing the headline I wiped my eyes and read it again to make sure I was seeing it right. I was amazed to find out that Mike Hampton was still playing baseball, I thought for sure he was dead or at least pumping gas at a local Atlanta service station.

Reading the article I had to laugh, Hampton is rehabbing in AA after a pectoral muscle strain that has delayed his comeback for 3 1/2 months and he has not pitched in a major-league game since 2005.

[s]Most[/s] All Braves fans will probably agree that Hampton may be the worst free agent signing ever.
